Roger Daltrey has spoken about the chances of an avatar tour or show from The Who in the future.Earlier this year, the frontman’s bandmate Pete Townshend briefly mentioned the idea during an interview with the New York Times.
The guitarist told the outlet that he wanted the group to “play every territory in the world” before they “crawl off to die”.But Townshend later explained that “The Who isn’t Daltrey and Townshend onstage at 80, pretending to be young”. “It’s the four of us in 1964, when we were 18 or 19,” he added. “If you want to see The Who myth, wait for the avatar show.
It would be good!”Now, Daltrey has been asked whether he shared Townhend’s opinion on a digital performance from The Who while speaking to Ultimate Classic Rock.The publication gave an example of the format by citing the ABBA Voyage spectacle in London, which celebrated its second anniversary this month.In response, Daltrey joked: “What, we’re going to go out and do ABBA covers?
