ok.co.ukCoronation Street fans have only just realised that Emrhys Cooper, who stars as Rowan Cunliffe on the ITV soap, was in a hugely popular movie 16 years ago.The 39 year old actor made his debut on Coronation Street in March this year as villain Rowan, who has been causing chaos on the cobbles.
He's groomed and manipulated Leanne Battersby into confessing her darkest secrets and blackmailed Leanne's partner Nick Tilsley and her sister Toyah over their affair.
If that wasn't enough Rowan is also getting vulnerable Leanne to groom Amy Barlow in a bid to get her £40K inheritance. It's all set to unfold in upcoming scenes, but viewers have spotted something recognisable about soap star Emrhys.
Before joining Corrie, Emrhys played a role in the musical comedy, Mamma Mia! the movie, alongside a star-studded cast of Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth.
