TV star joins OnlyFans insisting ‘there’s nothing shameful about sex work’
ok.co.ukMegan Prescott, best known for her iconic role as Katie Fitch in the Channel 4 teen drama Skins, which ran from 2007 to 2013, has revealed how OnlyFans ‘changed her life’ during the pandemic.
The 33-year-old landed her ‘dream job’ on Skins in 2008, but had a ‘bit of a reality check’ after leaving the show. "After Skins, I had a bit of a reality check where I was like, 'oh, actually, you don’t just go from a TV show to Hollywood,'" she told Metro.co.uk. "You’re not set for life, it is hard work and you don’t just get things handed to you," the star continued.
Megan went on to make appearances in shows including Holby City, as well as juggling various other jobs. “The second I started stripping there was a lot of internalised misogyny,” she told Metro.co.uk of her first time dipping her toe into sex work.
She then went back to doing regular side jobs as she thought ‘she’d never work again’ if anyone in the industry found out. However during the Covid pandemic, Megan had just £300 in her account, and after being refused furlough, decided to heed her friend’s advice and launch an OnlyFans.
