msn.comCoronation Street star Alex Bain has returned to work after a short break from the soap. Bain, who plays Simon Barlow, hasn't appeared on the cobbles in a few weeks and in April he took a break from social media following reports that he had split from fiancée Mollie Lockwood.
On his Instagram Story, Bain shared a photo from outside the studios where the soap is filmed and wrote: "So glad to be back working again this week!

But in March, it was reported the couple had split. Last month, Bain said he would be taking some time away from social media, while urging his followers to "be kind". "Due to recent personal life events, I will be taking a break from all forms of social media.
