Viewers of the ITV soap have been begging for Dee-Dee Bailey to discover who she is really marrying after it was revealed that Joel, played by Calum Lill, was behind the disappearance - and one point the presumed death - of Lauren Bolton.
It was revealed in May, three months after Lauren, played by Cait Fitton, was last seen in Weatherfield, that it was Joel who was behind her disappearance - not Roy Cropper as DS Lisa Swain decided when she charged him with Lauren's presumed murder. It was eventually confirmed she did when she appeared by Roy's bedside in the hospital after he suffered a heart attack. But before she could leave undetected, she was accosted by Joel before an intense confrontation, with the help of flashback clips, revealed what really went on between the pair.
