Joel, who initially appeared to be a nice chap, has since revealed his true nature as a manipulative and abusive character. He lured Lauren into a sexual relationship under the guise of helping her with bills, before launching a brutal attack on her during a heated row, leaving her for dead.
Adding to the drama, he is the father of her newborn baby and recently attempted to murder her by drugging her in a bid to kill their unborn child.
However, his plan went awry when she gave birth prematurely and the baby survived. Despite believing he had evaded justice, the truth about his wicked deeds came to light this week.
