As viewers of the ITV soap know, Dee-Dee Bailey has finally discovered just how evil her fiance Joel Deering really is. The solicitor is now doing everything he can to evade being nailed by DS Lisa Swain for grooming Lauren Bolton and later giving her a drug that saw her go into early labour with their son. It comes after scenes in May, months after Lauren was last seen in Weatherfield, Joel was confirmed to be behind her disappearance - not Roy Cropper as DS Lisa Swain decided when she charged him with Lauren's presumed murder.
Thankfully, Lauren survived Joel's attack but she's now facing a new hell as he tries to discredit her claims against him after he triggered her to prematurely give birth to their son after drugging her, originally hoping to cause her to miscarry.
