It was announced last month that Helen will be stepping back from her long-running role. She made the difficult decision to step down from her much-loved role at the end of the year in what has been described as a "happy" exit after bosses confirmed the beloved character won't be killed off.
It's since been revealed that Gail will be reunited with Martin Platt before her exit, with actor Sean Wilson having reprised the role six years after he last returned to the show.
He began filming last Wednesday (July 24) and will be back on screen in October.
