Comedian Jimmy Tarbuck has confessed to a hit-and-run incident near his swanky £5.5million home, just days after his sister's funeral.

He was handed a fine of £716, ordered to pay costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £286. His previously clean driving licence was also marked with five penalty points. The prosecutor, Laura-Ann Harding, told the court about the incident which happened around 3.30pm: "The defendant drove a vehicle without due care and attention. They collided heavily into stationary vehicles, causing severe damage and at the same time an accident occurred with another vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa and they failed to stop when required and give their name and address.
