ok.co.ukLegendary Hollywood actor and director Clint Eastwood has confirmed the sad news that his partner of 10 years, Christina Sandera, has died at the age of 61. “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” Clint said in a statement, released on Thursday night.The couple met in 2014 when Christina worked as a restaurant hostess at the Mission Ranch hotel that Clint owns in Carmel, California, and the pair made their debut as a couple at the Academy Awards the following year.They lived together at Clint's home in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where he has resided since the 1980s, and where he served as mayor from 1986 to 1988.
Clint, who began his career in Hollywood as an actor in 1955, is 94 years old and has just finished directing his 40th movie, Juror No.2, starring Kiefer Sutherland, Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette.
He is best known as a director for movies including Play Misty For Me, Unforgiven and High Plains Drifter, and his iconic acting roles include cop Harry Callaghan in Dirty Harry and its sequels, William 'Will' Munny in Unforgiven and trucker Philo, whose best friend is an orangutan named Clyde, in the comedy Every Which Way But Loose.
