Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” are set to travel to Chicago for a week of shows during the Democratic National Convention next week.

On the docket: A Kamala Harris biofilm created by “The Daily Show” team and a guest list on “The Late Show” that includes Hillary Rodham Clinton and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The two shows’ DNC plans dwarf what they ultimately were able to do last month during the Republican National Convention. In particular, “The Daily Show” had planned to hail that week from Milwaukee, but then the assassination attempt on Donald Trump changed those plans.

Instead, “The Daily Show” canceled its Monday telecast that week, and kept to its usual New York City homebase the rest of the week.
