Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Charles and Diana Bentley used in The Crown goes to auction

A Bentley that starred as royal transport in smash-hit TV series The Crown is set to be auctioned.The 1995 Bentley Brooklands carried the actors portraying Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the series, as well as young Prince Harry.Scenes in the Netflix show saw Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki, who played the royals in the last two seasons, use the vehicle.

With an estimated price tag of £12,000 - £15,000, the car boasts the classic Bentley grille and dual headlights with wraparound parking lights.

The current owner acquired the Peacock Blue car three years ago from a specialist in London. Previously residing in Scotland, it was chosen as the conveyance of The Prince of Wales in Series 5 and 6 of The Crown.

The car's registration plate, G8 AOX, also appeared onscreen and forms part of the sale.The Bentley Brooklands was introduced in 1992 to replace the Mulsanne and Bentley Eight.
