Adam Idah has been tipped for a return to the Premier League just two days after his move to Celtic was confirmed. The Ireland international, who spent the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Parkhead, made the move permanent this week after the Hoops secured an £8.5million deal, with £1m in potential add-ons, for his services.
After bagging eight league goals in 15 games for Brendan Rodgers' side last season, hopes are high among Hoops fans that Idah can forge a long, successful career at the club.
But Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup reckons it won't be long before the 23-year-old is back in English football."He's been in the Premier League before, of course, and also scored goals," said the Dane." But I see him as a potential Premier League striker with his attributes, his physique, his power, definitely."Thorup, who has only been in the Norwich hotseat for a matter of months, was initially keen on keeping Idah Carrow Road.
However, he has since admitted his move to Celtic was best for all parties."[It was] a good deal for everyone," he said. "I know they are happy in Celtic.
