Celtic have released a statement to explain their Rangers away allocation ticket stance - blaming the lack of 'guarantees' over the Ibrox game in January. The return of travelling fans for the first two derby clashes of the season is definitely off, but the SPFL confirmed earlier on Friday that the door is open for that to change ahead of the final two meetings of the season at Parkhead and Ibrox.

The Light Blues were set to have fans return to Celtic Park for the first derby meeting on September 1 with Celtic counterparts pencilled in for a trip across Glasgow on January 2 after an initial agreement to end the lockout was reached.
