Carlos Alcaraz Defeats Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon Tennis Finals in Second Consecutive Year
justjared.comHe did it again! Carlos Alcaraz crushed Novak Djokovic during the men’s finals tennis match on Sunday (July 16) at London’s The Championships, commonly known simply as Wimbledon.
The 21-year-old Spaniard completely overpowered the 37-year-old Serbian in three devastating straights sets, 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
During last year’s Wimbledon, the five-hour match between the pair went to five sets, 1-6, 7-6 (6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. Carlos becomes the sixth (and youngest) player to win both Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year, aka Channel Slam, in the Open Era.
