Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be accompanied by other members of the Royal Family at the Easter service at St George's Chapel in Windsor on Easter Sunday (Sunday, 31 March).
It will be the King’s most significant appearance since he was diagnosed with cancer in February this year. King Charles III and Camilla will attend the Easter Mattins Service which, according to the chapel’s website, runs for an hour from 10.45am to 11.45am.The announcement comes after it was revealed last month that the monarch had been diagnosed with cancer and that he had begun a schedule of regular treatments.
In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Monday, 5 February, it was stated that the 75 year old was “wholly positive about his treatment” and that while at the time he would be postponing his public-facing duties, he would continue State business and official paperwork.
Following the update, His Majesty has provided some updates regarding his health and on Monday, 26 March he was pictured meeting community faith leaders from across the UK who had taken part in the Windsor Leadership Trust programme during an audience at Buckingham Palace.
