While it may have looked Christmassy, a driver who strung their car with fairy lights has been warned by police that it is illegal.
The car in Wales was wrapped in fairy lights and also had tinted windows, which Gwent Police compared to “wearing sunglasses at night” as so little light was getting through.
The police pointed out that it’s illegal to display red lights anywhere other than the rear of the vehicle and the Christmas lights covering the car could confuse drivers.
The vehicle had been completely wrapped in lights, except for the windows, WalesOnline reports. Posting a picture of the car on X Gwent Police said: "This vehicle was allowing less than half the required light through the front windows.
