Brutal street murder was 'targeted attack' as Scots cops scour CCTV footage

Police officers probing a brutal murder have said the victim was killed in a 'targeted attack' as they try and track down those responsible for the street death.Officers have been checking CCTV from pubs and shops as they hunt for the killer of David Graham, who was fatally injured in a residential area of Uddingston, Lanarkshire, on Sunday evening.It is believed the 38-year-old suffered serious injuries to his neck.

Horrified locals desperately tried to save him while some were seen running to his aid with towels in a bid to stem the blood flow.Graham, of Cambuslang, had been walking when he was targeted by an assailant around 7.35pm.

It is believed he has links to a property in the area where he was attacked.Police said they are treating his death as murder and appealed for witnesses.

Detectives are interested in a silver car which was seen parked near the scene before it drove off.Sources have revealed officers have been visiting businesses in the area asking to examine security footage as they step up their inquires.One said: "Police have been asking to see any CCTV footage and asking questions.
