The Green Brigade were unhappy with Rodgers’ return to the club and boycotted the friendly against Athletic Bilbao in protest.But the manager gets where they are coming from after his team failed to produce the goods for a second game in succession.
He told BBC Scotland: “I totally understand it. When you play to that performance level and get that result at home, against any team.“But when you're playing against a team - with the greatest respect - haven’t won so many games and conceded goals, to not score and not get the three points is clearly not what we want.“It's certainly not what the supporters expect so I totally understand.
