Brave women who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer put on their glad rags to strut their stuff at a fundraising fashion show.The glamorous ladies helped to raise a fantastic £6000 for Breast Friends and Family, who also organised the event,And they were arrived at the bash in style in a series of classic cars, thanks to the team behind Classic Cars for Cancer.The glittering event was held at Houston House Hotel last week to help support breast cancer patients who are being treated at St John’s Hospital.The organisers were delighted with the success of the event and said: “What a fantastic afternoon and evening our fabulous ladies had.“Thank you to you all, along with your friends and family who helped make the evening a fantastic success.“We raised a whopping £6,000 for Breast Friends and Family.

It has been a fabulous end to a very busy month!“Thank you to everyone involved with our events.“We just couldn’t do it without you.”The ladies were picked up from their homes and whisked to the venue by drivers from Classic Cars for Cancer, who themselves also hold an annual fundraising car show.A spokesperson for the charity said: “Following our Show on September 2 we were asked if anyone would volunteer their time and cars to help give women going through treatment a day to remember.“Well you did us proud – a huge thank you to Ally McMillan, Graeme Colin, Colin Nicol, David Sibald, Kenny Murphy, Jim Rodden, Scott Fairbairn and James Houston.“They all gave up their time to collect the women from their homes and take them to Houston House Hotel, taking the long way round to so they ladies could enjoy the drive (some a bit longer than others!).” Don't miss the latest news from the West Lothian Courier.
