Boys aged 15 and 16 charged following 'stolen vehicle' smash
manchestereveningnews.co.ukPolice investigating a crash involving a stolen car have charged two boys, aged 15 and 16, with a number of offences including aggravated vehicle taking and possession of a knife.
The crash happened on Hollins Road, close to the junction with Frederick Street, at around 11.40am this morning (May 6). Emergency services raced to the scene following a reports of smash involving a car and a 'several stationary cars'.
A cordon was put in place with the road closed off in both directions as forensic officers scoured the scene for evidence. A knife could be seen on the road amid the debris from the crash. Each has been charged with robbery, possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, aggravated vehicle taking, a public order offence, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.
