A pre-inquest review at Newport Coroner’s Court on Wednesday, was told Dylan was taken to the Grange Hospital in Cwmbran on December 6.
Although the review did not hear any details about Dylan’s symptoms, a statement given to WalesOnline by the Cope family’s lawyers told how he was rushed to A&E by his GP for “suspected appendicitis”.
Senior Coroner Caroline Saunders told the court that Dylan was discharged from the hospital in the early hours of December 7.
