When she isn't filming the hit BBC show Beyond Paradise in south-east Cornwall, Sussex-born actress Barbara Flynn is working on her sideline business that actually produces some extra props for the series.The Open All Hours star, who portrays Anne Lloyd in the spin-off of Death in Paradise, runs her own jewellery business, designing and crafting the pieces herself, she revealed to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on This Morning on Monday, 22 April.
Appearing alongside co-star Sally Bretton, who plays Anne's daughter Martha Lloyd, Barbara revealed some of her pieces even feature as part of her character's wardrobe. "That started as a hobby and then turned into a business," she shared. "And the first designer was very sweet and said, 'Come on, Barbara, let's use it'.
And so yeah, I've been very happy to do it." Barbara, who first found fame as Freda Ashton in the ITV drama show A Family at War in the early 1970s, joined the cast of the Kris Marshall spin-off last year, but previously revealed she only recently added the jewellery string to her bow.
Speaking to The Sunday Express in 2013 about her passion for crafting, she revealed: "My father was a pathologist, who in his retirement did some silver workshops at West Dean College.
