The second series of Beyond Paradise ended on Friday 27 April with another case solved by DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and his team, and also with the good news that the Shipton Abbot police station had escaped closure. Humphrey and Martha (Sally Bretton) didn’t actually tie the knot thanks to her mother Anne (Barbara Flynn) going a bit bridezilla with the preparations and then cancelling the whole thing, but there was still romance in the air, not just between the not-married couple but also because Kelby (Dylan Llewellyn) got a sweet peck on the cheek from CS Charlie Woods (Jade Harrison) as thanks for his help in solving a crime involving her grandmother.

When she isn't filming the hit BBC show Beyond Paradise in south-east Cornwall, Sussex-born actress Barbara Flynn is working on her sideline business that actually produces some extra props for the series.The Open All Hours star, who portrays Anne Lloyd in the spin-off of Death in Paradise, runs her own jewellery business, designing and crafting the pieces herself, she revealed to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on This Morning on Monday, 22 April. Appearing alongside co-star Sally Bretton, who plays Anne's daughter Martha Lloyd, Barbara revealed some of her pieces even feature as part of her character's wardrobe.

Beyond Paradise star Kris Marshall, best known for his role as DI Humphrey Goodman, opened up about a particularly harrowing experience during filming in the Congo.The actor shared with the Irish Mirror the terrifying moment when he narrowly escaped being kidnapped by armed militants. "I got a parasite and had worms living in me, and every Sunday the army would come and kidnap someone," Kris recounted.

The 50 year old actor starred in ITV's Sanditon, based on an unfinished Jane Austen novel, after making a name for himself in BBC's Death in Paradise.
