Tributes have been paid to a much-loved American actor. Robert Logan was the star of classic TV detective series 77 Sunset Strip and the 'Wilderness' film series, which followed the adventures of the intrepid Robinson family.
He died of natural causes aged 82. Robert’s family revealed that the star died on 6 May this year, however they only chose to announce his death his week.The family said in a statement about the beloved actor: “He was the embodiment of agape, literally the Platonic ideal of spousal or familiar love.” They added that they “felt so lucky, so blessed, to experience that; so lucky and so blessed to know him.” Sign up to OK!'s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free Robert was born in New York.
A baseball scholarship led him to Los Angeles City College. At a restaurant late one night, he caught the eye of a talent scout from film company Warner Bros, who signed him up for a contract at the studio.
He first found fame as parking attendant J.R. Hale in edgy private detective series 77 Sunset Strip, which was a smash hit at the time.
