Welsh actor Ewen MacIntosh, who starred in the UK's version of The Office, has died aged 50.The comedian played Keith Bishop, the slightly oddball character who worked in the accounting section, in the Ricky Gervais show which aired from 2001 to 2003.Talent management company JustRight Management posted a heartfelt message on X announcing his passing: "With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved comedy genius Ewen MacIntosh.

His family thank all who supported him, especially Willow Green Care Home.There will be a private cremation for family & close friends soon & a celebratory memorial later in the year." His friend and former colleague Ricky Gervais also sent his condolences, describing Ewen as "very funny and very lovely". "Extremely sad news," he wrote on X. "The very funny and very lovely Ewen Macintosh, known to many as 'Big Keith' from The Office, has passed away.

An absolute original. RIP." Another friend Ed Scott, head of Dodged A Bullet Music, also wrote a tribute on X, saying: "I am completely devastated by the loss of my very good friend @ewenmacintosh.

He may have had a famous face known by millions as Keith from The Office but the person inside is what I will most remember." Ewen delighted fans recently with a cameo in Ricky Gervais's hit Netflix show, After Life, playing a man who got barred from an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant in the third series of the award-winning show.
