Amy Dowden says being back on Strictly Come Dancing is a "celebration" following her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The dancer was forced to take a break from the BBC One dance contest after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023.
She is now thrilled to be heading back to the dancefloor this year with her celebrity partner, JLS singer JB Gill, after she was told there was 'no evidence of disease' after undergoing a mastectomy and gruelling chemotherapy treatment following her diagnosis.
In an interview with Closer magazine, Amy said of her return: "It's been such a celebration. It's so lush. I feel like I'm home.
We've worked so hard over the last few weeks on spectacular group numbers, I'm just so excited for the 20th year to be hitting your screens."
