BBC star John Hunt's daughter found alive with 'crossbow bolt in chest' after dialling 999

Hannah Hunt, the daughter of John Hunt, who died after an attack at her home, was found alive by police with a "crossbow bolt in her chest" after being "tied up", an inquest at Hertfordshire Coroner's Court heard.The court was informed that Hannah Hunt, 28, was able to text someone pleading for help, telling them she had been “tied up” at the family home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on July 9.The text urged the recipient to inform police that the perpetrator was still present at the scene.

Following her plea for help through the text, Hannah was then able to call 999, reporting that she and her mother and sister had been shot, providing her address before the connection was lost, as recounted during the inquest.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Hannah alive but wounded, lying in the main doorway of the home with the crossbow bolt lodged in her chest, senior coroner for Hertfordshire Geoffrey Sullivan heard.Tragedy struck John Hunt's family as his wife Carol Hunt, 61, died from stab wounds to her chest and abdomen, while her daughters Hannah and Louise, 25, died from crossbow bolt injuries, the hearing was told.The coroner adjourned the inquest to allow any criminal proceeding to take place.

Police have still not been able to question suspect Kyle Clifford after he was arrested on suspicion of killing the mother and two daughters.The three women were found fatally injured at the family home in Ashlyn Close just after 7pm.
