BBC's Strictly winner Ellie Leach leaves Vito in hysterics as she reveals embarrassing mishap

Ellie Leach has shared an embarrassing moment she shared with her dance partner Vito Coppola.The pair were crowned the champions of Strictly Come Dancing 2023 last week, when they lifted the Glitterball trophy.

While the BBC dancing show might look like a lot of glitz and glamour, Coronation Street star Ellie revealed that's not always the case behind the scenes.

Speaking to their fans on Instagram live together, Ellie and Vito opened up about one particular embarrassing moment. When prompted by an audience member, the 22-year-old ended up in hysterics laughing when she recalled the unfortunate incident.

She said: "In the final week we were quite ill, we both had cold, we were both bunged up. "In the show dance there was lots of twists and turns and when I turned, I snotted all over my face." Holding back her laughter, she added: "I kept messing up the steps because I got so embarrassed that I had snot all over me, and Vito was like "Why do you keep messing up?" "It's because I had snot all over me!" Vito continued: "But I was confused because I thought, "If everything is going right, why do you keep going wrong? "In the end there was just some fluid liquid everywhere!" Sharing more emotional behind the scenes moments with fans, Vito also shared a video he and Ellie recorded during their last rehearsal before the Strictly final.
