BBC Breakfast viewers admitted they were left cringing over a 'car crash' interview with guest Geri Horner on Thursday morning's episode of the show.The iconic former Spice Girl, 51, tried to discuss her new book but eagle-eyed viewers were quick to call out presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt's probing questions to the popstar.
Naga suggested that Geri, who is married to Formula One legend Christian Horner, had 'researched' them before the interview, while Charlie accused her of 'pointing her finger' excessively.
BBC Breakfast fans branded the interview as a 'car crash' on social media after they were left stunned by the awkward TV ordeal.
During the discussion, Naga questioned: "Do you know what, you’re very interesting as an interviewee. "You’ve come in, making sure you’ve done your research on us as well haven’t you?" As Geri replied that it’s the polite thing to do, Charlie added: "Also, you point your finger quite a lot, to be honest." Shocked, the former popstar jumped to apologise as she responded: "Is that rude?!
