BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty joked about tensions with Charlie Stayt after an awkward exchange between the pair on the show.

Charlie talked about feeling relieved that the weather would be getting colder and cloudier, when Naga called out the host. As Charlie talked about how the colder weather would mean he could watch TV guilt-free, Naga, 48, insisted that it was actually going to be sunny. The Rugby fan said: “You know when there is a big sporting occasion and the weather is good, and you have a bit of guilt because it’s nice outside, but you want to watch the thing and you’re staying indoors. “I don’t think that’s a worry right now.” Naga interrupted, saying: “I feel no guilt,” while shaking her head.

She then contradicted him, saying: “I think it’s going to be sunny,” before turning to the weatherman to back her up.The weatherman responded: "You're right, Naga," adding it would "turn chilly" but there would be "a few sunny spells".

Naga then laughed before joking: "Look at you mediating between us. It's a part of the job, isn't it." And it’s not the first time there has appeared to be tension on air between the pair.
