BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt took a moment on Thursday's programme to deliver an "upsetting" caution to viewers before delving into a sensitive health segment.
Presenters Charlie and Naga Munchetty were seated on the familiar red sofa, ready to update the audience with the day's top stories.
Charlie introduced the segment at 6.15am, stating: "Time now is 6.15am. A woman who spent her life savings of £21,000 to have her vaginal mesh removed in an operation in the US says she could no longer wait for surgery in Northern Ireland." Naga then added: "And it's emerged that other women have been waiting years for similar procedures in Belfast, and the Health Trust responsible has apologised to all of those who were waiting and left in pain."
