Train users and football fans have been warned of last minute cancellations affecting tomorrow's Manchester to London service, on the evening Chelsea play City at the Etihad Stadium.
Passengers travelling from Piccadilly to the capital could be affected. Chelsea fans, who are set to travel to Manchester for their team's Premier League fixture at 5.30pm, will now likely miss the last train back to London.
It has been announced that the last train heading to London will now be at the earlier than usual time of 6.55pm, with the 8.15pm train cancelled.
The game is expected to finish at around 7.15pm. An Avanti spokesman said: "There are rail replacement buses for customers impacted by the 20:15 cancellation, and a station management plan is in place to help customers at the station." Passengers are being urged to check before they head to the station. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
