Austin Butler delivers a pop of luxurious color on the red carpet at the Fairmont Century Plaza for the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday evening (February 26) in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old Elvis star stood out in a beautifully tailored burgundy suit, which he wore with a black bowtie. He left his hair artfully tousled and kept the styling simple. Austin was joined by Elvis director Baz Luhrmann and costume designer (and Baz‘s wife) Catherine Martin.

I didn’t plan on my new hirsute look. I just don’t like shaving. I avoid it when I can. But as my beard grew in, my friends started telling me they liked it. They remarked at how “distinguished” it looked with its mix of ginger and white. I worried I might appear older than I am, but my cousin insisted that she thought it actually made me look younger. I decided to go for a trial run by keeping the beard for the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s opening night gala red carpet. I needed to see how it looked on camera. The beard was a hit. Austin Butler told me he liked it and so did Colin Farrell. A few days later at the Golden Globes, Andrew Garfield said, “The beard looks nice. The ginger and white is like a Prince Harry thing you’ve got going on.”

Elvis director Baz Lurhmann has unveiled the deluxe edition of the movie’s soundtrack, which features a raft of previously unreleased recordings from Austin Butler.“The whole Elvis music team has answered the call from fans with this new Deluxe Edition of the Elvis soundtrack,” said Luhrmann in a statement.“Featuring everything from previously unreleased recordings by Austin Butler to contemporary takes on Elvis’s classics and a fresh mash-up with the Backstreet Boys, the Deluxe album reveals all the complex layers of Austin’s performance, Elvis’s music and those who continue his legacy.”The deluxe edition – which is now available across music streaming platforms – boasts 52 songs in total, 15 more than the standard edition.The previously unreleased recordings by Butler include ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, ‘Crawfish’ (which was recorded live on set), and ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight?’.Additional contemporary takes on Elvis’ songs inlcude G-Dragon‘s cover of ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’, and Kacey Musgraves‘ version of the same song with Mark Robson.You can view listen to the deluxe edition below.Austin Butler’s performance as Elvis Presley has earned him a Best Actor nomination at this year’s Oscars.

Oscar-nominee Colin Farrell looked completely unrecognisable in snaps from the set of The Batman spin-off TV series, The Penguin. Reprising his role as Oswald Cobblepot, or the titular Penguin, Colin, 46, donned a number of prosthetics on his face just as he did in in the 2022 film starring Robert Pattinson.The prosthetics gave the actor the appearance of facial scars and a receding hairline, and made him look heavier than his usual slim figure. Dressed for the role, Colin sported a purple blazer and white shirt, which were paired with black trousers and matching suspenders.The look was completed with a pair of black shoes and a brown leather coat.

Irish Film, TV Nominations 2023: ‘The Banshees of Inisherin,’ ‘Bad Sisters’ Lead With Most Nods

Yossman “The Banshees of Inisherin,” starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, led the nominations for the Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs) as the full list of nominees was unveiled on Monday night local time, picking up 11 nods in the film category. “Bad Sisters” – Sharon Horgan’s Apple TV+ mystery series – led the pack in the drama category with 12 noms. Coming off the back of a stellar year for Irish film and television, the nominations include a number of familiar names and titles, including Paul Mescal, who has been nominated for best lead actor in a film for “Aftersun” and best supporting actor in a film for “God’s Creatures” while Farrell is also competing in both categories, both for his star turn in “Banshees” and his supporting role as Penguin in “The Batman.”

Condon has worked with McDonagh for two decades; her first major role was in his play “The Lieutenant of Inishmore,” and in 2009, she starred in his drama “The Cripple of Inishmaan.” She also appeared in his film “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” which won Academy Awards for Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell. That makes “Elvis” the most-streamed title on U.S. subscription services among the films nominated for in the Oscars best picture category this year — but only if you are looking at the platforms for which Nielsen reports metrics. What’s important here: Nielsen’s Streaming Content Ratings do not include Paramount+, which added “Top Gun: Maverick” on Dec. 22, whereupon it became the service’s most-streamed movie premiere to date. Nielsen also does not report streaming estimates for Showtime, which has the rights to best-picture frontrunner “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Martin Scorsese has shared a list of his favourite films of all time.The director, known for films like Taxi Driver and The Wolf Of Wall Street, revealed his favourite films in a poll for Sight And Sound magazine.Since 1952, the magazine has asked various filmmakers every decade for their lists of the greatest films of all time. As part of the Winter 2022-23 issue, directors like Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Barry Jenkins and Ari Aster were invited to contribute their favourites.Scorsese’s top pick, 2001: A Space Odyssey, was named the overall favourite from the collective votes.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Brendan Fraser revealed on a recent episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” that he had a near-death experience during a stunt gone wrong while filming “The Mummy.” The Oscar nominee said he was “choked out accidentally” during a scene in which he had to be hanged with a rope. “I was standing on my toes like this with the rope and you only got so far to go,” Fraser said. “Stephen [Sommers, the director] ran over and he said, ‘Hey, it doesn’t really look like your choking. Can you sell it?’” The production team filmed one more take. Fraser said, “The camera swooped around and I went up on the toes and the guy holding the rope above me, he pulled it up a little higher and I was stuck on my toes and I had nowhere to go but down. So he was pulling up and I was going down. And then the next thing I knew, my elbow was in my ear, the world was sideways and there was gravel in my teeth.”
