Attempted murder investigation launched as police make arrest

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a 'disturbance' at a house in Stockport. Police were called to the incident at a property on Thornley Lane South, Reddish, shortly after 6.30pm on Friday (July 21).

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken into custody, where he remains this morning (Saturday).

A cordon remained in place the next morning. In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Just after 6.30pm last night (Friday 21st July 2023), officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a property on Thornley Lane South, Reddish.
