Manchester United making progress in striker search
manchestereveningnews.co.ukErik ten Hag says Manchester United are making progress in their attempt to sign a new striker. Rasmus Hojlund is United's principal target and Ten Hag spoke to the Atalanta goalscorer earlier this year.
United are unprepared to spend more than £60million on Hojlund after the 20-year-old moved to Atalanta from Sturm Graz for £15m a year ago. Anthony Elanga has left the United camp in San Diego as he closes in on a £15m move to Nottingham Forest, who also want to sign Dean Henderson.
Henderson is still recovering from thigh surgery and is not match-ready. United sold Alex Telles to Al-Nassr last week, Eric Bailly and Fred are free to leave while West Ham have enquired about Harry Maguire.
