Ange Postecoglou doesn't want to be tagged as a serial complainer but he insists he won't stop pitching for raising the standard of Scottish football .

The Celtic boss doubled down on his criticism of the Hampden playing surface for a weekend of League Cup semi-final action which lined up an Old Firm collision next month.

But the Australian's repeated call for improved conditions is nothing new as he revealed he was in danger of sounding like a broken record when he made similar demands while managing Down Under.Postecoglou believes the bigger picture from his scathing remarks of the state of the national stadium's surface during their triumph over Kilmarnock is all about trying to project the best of our game across the globe.

He said: "In Australia I was known for complaining about pitches. I would do it on a consistent basis, because there we had to share pitches with different codes and stuff, and it used to do my head in because I thought it detracted from the growth of the game in Australia.“It was a much bigger issue there than I think it is here.
