Andrew Tate wins appeal and has been released from house arrest
manchestereveningnews.co.ukControversial internet influencer Andrew Tate has won an appeal to be released from house arrest. He was previously charged with rape, human trafficking, and forming a criminal gang with the purpose of sexually exploiting women.
A spokesperson for Tate confirmed he won an appeal to be released from house arrest following a decision at the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
It comes after prosecutors formally indicted the 36-year-old in June alongside his brother, Tristan, and two Romanian women in the same case.
All four were arrested in late December near Bucharest - they deny all allegations against them.
