Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have both been released from prison in Romania after appealing their detention. Controversial four-time kickboxing world champion Tate, 36, was arrested in Bucharest at the end of December last year on suspicion of a number of offences.

He was arrested with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women - Luana Radu, 32, and Georgina Naghel, 28. All four are now being held on house arrest. As recently as this week, the Tates were held on their preventative arrest by a Romanian judge after six efforts to secure their release.

But they appeared confident that this week they would be freed, with both brothers tweeting a cryptic message that simply read "Friday.
