Aldi is launching its first ever pizza delivery service in Edinburgh next month with pies costing less than £4.From October 3, the budget supermarket will transport "Dominos inspired" pizzas to those living in the student city, as well as Manchester in England and Cardiff in Wales.
Aldi says the service will help students stay fed while avoiding "soaring" takeaway costs. Those eager to grab a slice of the action need to book their delivery slots now to avoid disappointment, which they can do from September 18 on Aldi's new delivery website.
Customers can pre-order pizzas that are part of Aldi's new Ultimate Takeaway range for just £3.99 each with no extra delivery fee.Among the three new pizzas inspired by the takeaway giant include Aldi's The Meaty One - a sizzling sausage and meatball feast akin to Dominos' Meateor pizza.
Next, The Banger is a smoky hotdog delight with a spicy kick derived from the Absolute Banger. Finally, fans of Dominos' Texas BBQ pizza can enjoy Aldi's Texas Style BBQ Chicken & Bacon, layered with tangy BBQ sauce, succulent chicken and smoky bacon. All pies range between 462g-526g in weight, with each offering eight slices.
