The Diamonds striker netted an equaliser in Saturday’s clash at Livingston but his second goal of the season proved to no avail, as Livingston grabbed a stoppage-time winner through Andrew Shinnie in a 2-1 win That made it three straight defeats for the Diamonds and kept them rock-bottom with the Pars after a run of just one win in seven games.
The squad has been decimated by injuries and Airdrie were only able to field four outfield substitutes at the weekend. But Reid knows, even in the face of adversity, things need to turn around quickly.
He said: “I think the Dunfermline game is one we definitely need to take points from. We need to get out of the hole we are in and start getting some points on the board. “We’ve got a lot of young boys in the team and I think a bit of maturity needs to try and come through quickly, and see out games.
