Dan Walker fuels Strictly fix rumour saying Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova's exit is 'messed up'
ok.co.ukEx-Strictly star Dan Walker has sparked rumours of a fix on the dance show after his former professional partner Nadiya Bychkova and her 2024 celebrity Tom Dean were voted off in the first elimination show tonight (Saturday, September 29).
Olympic swimmer Tom and Nadiya faced Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones in the dreaded dance-off, but the judges decided to save Toyah, leaving fans shocked.
Dan, who danced with Nadiya in 2021, didn't hold back as he expressed his disbelief on social media shortly after the announcement, writing a long, very candid post. "What just happened on Strictly feels a bit messed up," he began." @tomdean00’s departure will go down as one of THE early shocks.
Lovely bloke who really could have become a great dancer. He looked like he was loving every second of it and @nadiyabychkova looked like she loved teaching him." Dan was clearly upset for his former partner, who he has remained friends with since they danced together three years ago, when they finished in fifth place, losing out in the dance-off to AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington. "I’m not an expert - and I’m happy for someone to explain - but how he lost that dance off is completely beyond my comprehension," he continued. "Genuinely thought they could have gone a long way." In the tense face-off, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse saved Toyah and Neil, while Anton Du Beke was in favour of Tom and Nadiya.
