Aberdeen 'could abandon' Kingsford Stadium plans as council pushes for city centre alternative

And the Evening Express claims that the plan could be abandoned altogether in favour of a location closer to the city centre.The newspaper report initial talks have taken place with the council over building a new ground close to Pittodrie as part of a wider scheme to regenerate the area around Aberdeen Beach.

The recently closed Hilton hotel has been identified as the best site, with further talks planned in an effort to convince Dave Cormack and the Dons board.
