A Livingston go kart ace is hoping to prove he’s the best of British after already sealing Scottish success.John Boulter (15) finished ahead of the chasing pack at the recent British Indoor Karting Championships regional final and now gets to compete against the best from all across Britain this weekend in Warrington. It’s the latest success for the Inveralmond pupil, who has picked up a host of trophies since first getting behind the wheel and taking up the sport around six years ago.And he’s determined to notch up further success.Speaking to the Courier, John said: “I was absolutely delighted to win. “It was one of my first couple times at the track and I had a good idea what I was capable of doing on the day, but you can’t get too carried away or think ahead. “I was able to get into the top three so that means I’m able to compete in the national event this weekend in Warrington and that’s going to be the top race that I’ve competed in during my career so far.“I’m really looking forward to that and challenging myself on that stage.”John, who calls the Cambuslang track his home venue, added: “I have been competing for about six years and I loved it from the first moment.

Going forward, the dream is to get into cars and make a career out of driving. That would be the ultimate aim and hopefully one day I can achieve that.”John is currently looking for sponsors to help him progress.
