‘Yellowjackets’ Star Samantha Hanratty Takes Variety Behind the Scenes Getting Ready for the Emmy Awards

I knew I was going to be an actor really out of the womb.” “I don’t know if it was like I wanted attention from being the youngest of five girls or just the love of entertaining,” she says. “You can really make people feel something.
And I think my favorite thing about acting, too, is getting to tell the stories of people that don’t always have a story told about them.” In preparing for this year’s Emmy Awards, Hanratty sat down with Variety to discuss “Yellowjackets,” her career and her personal sense of style in the first video of a new series, Variety Get Ready with Me presented by Prime.
Hanratty describes her style as “comfort driven,” opting to wear sweats or sometimes even her husband’s T-shirts tucked into her jeans, for red carpet events.
