'XO, Kitty' Trailer: Kitty Is at the Center of a Love Triangle in 'To All the Boys' Spinoff

franchise is the star of her own love story in Netflix's YA spinoff, and the official trailer shows Kitty is all grown up and ready for romance.In the 10-episode first season, Kitty (Anna Cathcart) believes she knows everything there is to know about love.

But when she makes the bold decision to move across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, Dae (Minyeong Choi), in South Korea, she'll soon realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it's your own heart on the line.The trailer opens with Kitty landing in Seoul, where she meets her first acquaintance, Yuri (Gia Kim), who she soon discovers is actually Dae's girlfriend.

To make matters even worse for the youngest Covey sister, Kitty bumps into an elaborate table setting, knocking it over at the dance for everyone to see.Though the romantic hiccup sets Kitty back a bit as she adapts to life abroad, it's not the only reason why she's made the big leap.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter “Fast X,” the 10th installment in Universal’s high-octane franchise, powered to $320 million worldwide, including an uninspired $67.5 million in its domestic debut. It secured the second-biggest global opening weekend of the year following another Universal title, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($377 million). Even though “Fast X” arrived on the higher end of projections, the action-adventure saga has been experiencing diminishing returns in North America. In terms of opening weekend ticket sales, the 10th chapter landed behind the latest entry, 2021’s “F9: The Fast Saga,” which kicked off to $70 million. And that was at a time when COVID era restrictions meant only 80% of theaters were open and attendance hadn’t yet rebounded. Pre-pandemic “Fast” installments were far bigger in their starts, including 2017’s “The Fate of the Furious” ($98 million debut), 2015’s “Furious 7” (a series-high $148 million debut) and 2013’s “Fast and Furious 6” ($97 million debut).

John Hopewell Chief International Correspondent Rio de Janeiro city authorities are looking to increase Rio’s cash rebate for international shoots launched last October by city org RioFilme with a 35% deduction rate on expenditure and R$15 million ($3.0 million) in total funding.  “We have on the table a proposal to double that,” Marcelo Calero, Rio de Janeiro city secretary of culture told Variety at Cannes. That 100% hike would be subject to the “approval chain that we have to follow at the city hall,” he added. A decision may be made by June when RioFilme is set to issue the call for applications for a second year of the cash rebate.

Korean Remake of India’s ‘Drishyam’ Franchise Set at Panorama, Anthology
Naman Ramachandran Korea’s Anthology Studios and India’s Panorama Studios have partnered for the remake of the Drishyam franchise in Korea. Panorama Studios is backed by producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, while Anthology Studios is founded by former Warner Bros. local Korean production head, Choi Jae-won (aka Jay Choi), “Parasite” actor Song Kang-ho and acclaimed director Kim Jee-woon. The trio previously worked together on 2016 film “The Age of Shadows.” Anthology’s “Cobweb,” directed by Kim, produced by Choi and starring Song, is premiering out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25. That’s the quirky premise of Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni’s new comedy, ‘The (Ex)perience of Love,’ the follow-up to their 2020 debut “Une vie démente.” When we meet them, the couple in question, Sandra (Lucie Debay) and Rémy (Lazare Gousseau), are hoping to have a child, and after having no luck conceiving naturally, they decide to see a doctor. Curveball: the doctor tells them that they are suffering from a recently identified condition, Past Love Syndrome. Christopher Nolan Confirms ‘Oppenheimer’ Is His Longest Movie and ‘Kissing Three Hours’: ‘Slightly Longer’ Than ‘Interstellar’
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Christopher Nolan has finally weighed in on the “Oppenheimer” runtime, confirming to Total Film magazine that it is his longest movie to date. The director’s confirmation means “Oppenheimer” at least runs longer than 2 hours and 49 minutes. That was the runtime on “Interstellar,” the director’s longest movie until “Oppenheimer.” Previous reports pegged the “Oppenheimer” runtime at three hours, which Nolan said is almost true. “It’s slightly longer than the longest we’ve done,” Nolan said. “It’s kissing three hours.” “Oppenheimer” stars Nolan’s frequent collaborator Cillian Murphy as theoretical physicist and “father of the atomic bomb” J. Robert Oppenheimer. The film tracks Oppenheimer as he launches the Manhattan Project and oversees the creation of the atom bomb.

Courteeners, English Teacher and Louis Tomlinson were among the acts to be honoured at the first-ever Northern Music Awards.The inaugural ceremony – hosted by the UK’s largest music therapy charity, Nordoff And Robbins – took place at the Albert Hall in Manchester last night (April 23) to celebrate northern artists, festivals, venues and industry figures.Presented by BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins, the event featured live performances from Courteeners frontman Liam Fray, as well as English Teacher, Lisa Stansfield, The K’s and more.Guest presenters from the region included former Manchester United footballer Gary Neville, New Order‘s Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Norris, and Grimsby-born actor Thomas Turgoose (This Is England). ‌ Neville awarded Courteeners with the Band Of The Year prize. Responding to the nod, Fray said: “It’s really nice to be in a room with this much talent… but this isn’t about us, it’s about Nordoff And Robbins and the work that they do, it’s about music, and the way they’re changing lives with music and sometimes even saving lives with music.”The singer also delivered an acoustic rendition of Courteeners’ classic single ‘Not Nineteen Forever’ and a cover of Oasis‘ ‘The Masterplan’.Rising Leeds band English Teacher picked up the Best Newcomer award, and performed ‘Albatross’ and ‘Albert Road’ from their acclaimed debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’ (watch the video below)..@Englishteac_her commanding the stage with the first song off their album.
