Woman pleads not guilty to killing motorcyclist in Mercedes crash

A woman has pleaded not guilty to killing a motorcyclist after being accused of hitting him with her Mercedes. Mia Dacosta, of Barnsley Street in Offerton, appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Thursday (September 28) accused of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

The 27-year-old is accused of colliding with Raymond Parker, who riding on a motorbike at the time, when driving a Mercedes A180 on Hall Street in Stockport on July 25 2021. Before magistrates on Thursday, Ms Dacosta appeared and pleaded not guilty and will subsequently go on trial at Minshull Street Crown Court.
