Antony is the latest Manchester United player to succumb to injury. The Brazilian has missed the Premier League fixture at Everton with a knock and he has been deemed not match-fit.
Antony's absence has prompted the promotion of academy striker Joe Hugill. The 20-year-old has been included in the United squad for the first time at Everton.
United are also without Rasmus Hojlund, who failed a fitness test. Hojlund sustained a hamstring injury in the second half of the 1-0 win against Luton Town on November 11. Everton is the first of 10 games in 34 days for United and their season has been plagued by injury issues. Kobbie Mainoo, 18, is starting at Everton for the first time since he sustained a knee injury in the pre-season friendly against Real Madrid in Houston on July 26.
