'Wanted' boy, 17, charged with spate of theft and burglary offences
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA 'wanted' boy has been charged with a spate of alleged theft and burglary offences. Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation following a spate of burglaries in Bury, as well as other 'linked offences' in Bolton.
An arrest was made by GMP's Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit (TVIU) in Blackley on Tuesday (March 5), police said. A 17-year-old boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - has since been charged.
He has been charged with four counts of attempt burglaries, three counts of burglary of a dwelling and three theft of a motor vehicle offences. The boy was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Manchester Youth Court today (March 7). In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with ten offences.
