A walker was airlifted to hospital after a fall at a popular Cheshire beauty spot. The Buxton Mountain rescue team were called last weekend, February 3, at around 9.50am to reports that a person had fallen at Tegg's Nose near Macclesfield.
Paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust assisted the walker, who had fractured their leg. Due to the series nature of the injuries, a Helimed was requested.
The walker was placed onto a mountain rescue stretcher before being taken to hospital for further treatment. "Due to the serious nature of the injury Helimed was requested to evacuate the casualty quickly to hospital. "Team members worked alongside the paramedics to support the casualty, who was then placed onto the mountain rescue stretcher. "The casualty was then stretchered to the North West Air Ambulance Charity for the onward journey to hospital. "We would like to send our best wishes to the casualty on their recovery."
